Use your resources to encourage God’s family

USE YOUR RESOURCES TO ENCOURAGE GOD’S FAMILY

Four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus.  Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.” Mark 2:3-5 NLT

Who paid to repair the roof?
Who bought the appetizers and coffee for the guests at the House of Peace where Jesus was preaching?

You can give without loving, but you can’t love without giving.

You can give unto God, but you can also give untothose God loves: people.

When you give unto God, you are saying, “Lord, I place you as the top priority in my life.” When you invest in other people you are saying, “Lord I love your family”.

This story is full of generosity. There was someone who offered their home so that there would be a reunion, someone else gave coffee and refreshments, another person helped take care of the children and someone else paid to repair the roof

You invest in that which you love. When you give God your money, you get closer to Him. When you give other people your money then you get closer to them.

You are loving God’s family when you open your House of Peace and buy refreshments for your group, when you watch another person’s kids so they can attend a retreat, when you help someone that is discouraged and invite them out to eat while you pay, when you help buy medicine for a sick brother in need or when you buy groceries for someone that does not have food.

You can give God your tithings when you attend your church and that will cause the windows of heaven toopen; but you can also give unto others as an act of love and that is investing into the Kingdom of heaven.

Think about it:

How do you invest into heaven’s treasure?
How can you encourage God’s family today?
