Whoever doesn’t enrich, becomes poor

WHOEVER DOESN’T ENRICH, BECOMES POOR

A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished. Proverbs 28:20 (NIV)

The Heavenly Father has left us in charge of something on earth and one day we will have to be accountable to Him. God has given us wealth, gifts and resources to multiply them. By the way, before continuing let me clarify that the fortune I am referring to is not only about money, even though clearly this aspect is also included. True wealth are the spiritual, human and financial resources.

Today, if we were to make an honest evaluation of our lives, how would we rank the way we used our resources during the last year? These goods include our relationship with God, our family, our physical health, money, strength, time, ministry, etc. (Did I waste them or multiply them? Did I gain or lose?)

It is important for us to learn how to have a healthy home and not lose our marriage or children. It is important for us to learn how to have more friends and how to manage our time in order to take advantage of the years.

We can only go through this life once, and we think that the book we were supposed to read yesterday can be read tomorrow; but yesterday will not come back, the  opportunity that was designated specifically for that moment was lost. We only have one opportunity to faithfully and wisely manage our money or the business that was entrusted into our hands by the Lord.

Think about it:

Why does God allow some people to lose things and gives more to others?

What do you have to do for the Lord to consider you a good and faithful servant; so He gives you more than what you have right now?
