Apply what you learn

APPLY WHAT YOU LEARN

So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control… Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. 15 But now you must be holy…  1 Peter 1:13-15 NLT.

Let’s not be flaring flames that burn out, like people who practice something for a few days while the emotion lasts.

These Seven Weeks of Supernatural Transformation have helped us start a few habits in our spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, relational, financial and vocational health. Now, it is our turn to have self-control in order to keep developing them.

So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control… Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.  But now you must be holy…  1 Peter 1:13-15 NLT.

We do not ignore things anymore.

Keep making the effort to use a written budget, to have breakfast every morning and not eat too much dinner in the middle of the night. If you had stopped praying again, exercise self-control and start going to bed a little earlier so that you can wake up and have your daily appointment with God. Take care of your relationships and keep a healthy heart.

Also, I encourage you to join a small group like a House of Peace where you will have a mentor and group of friends where you will all mutually help one another; and you will not slip back. Remember, “two are better than one” (Ecclesiastes 4:9).

Think about it:

What habit do you need to reapply and try again?
Do you already belong to a small group where you can be accountable? If you haven’t yet, what is stopping you from joining one?
