The four nevers of love

THE FOUR NEVERS OF LOVE

“Love never stops bearing all things, love never stops believing in all things, love never stops hoping in all things, love never stops enduring all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:7 (Paraphrased)

God never stops being patient with you. God never stops believing in you. God never stops hoping the best for your life. God never gives up on you. This is what God expects you to do with everyone else.

1.“Love never stops being patient”.

This means that love extends grace. You offer grace to people just as God has given it to you. Love never stops being patient. Grace means to treat others in a way they may not deserve, but love covers all the flaws and makes us act patiently.

2. “Love never stops believing.”

This means that love expresses faith. It never holds back. It tells others, “I believe in you. I know that we have gone through a difficult time. I know that we have had this failure, this fall; but I will never stop believing in you.” Love extends grace and expresses faith.

3. Love waits for the best. “It never stops hoping”.

Are you expecting the best in your marriage or have youconformed to less than the best. Love extends grace, expresses faith, expects the best and it never holds back hope. Even if everything looks bad and sometimes gets worst, love still believes and expects the change.

4.  Love bears the worst. “It never gives up”.

You can throw anything at me, but I will keep loving you. There is nothing that you can do to me to make me stop loving you; just as I am unable to do anything to God so that He loves me less. Love can bear the worst things.

Today, practice this at home and your church.

Think about it:

Which areas have you been struggling with that need the ingredient of love?
In which “never” of love do you need to work on to see better results?
