A FISH ON YOUR CAR’S BACK WINDOW OR AN ACT OF FAITH?

What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions?… James 2:14 NLT

One night, I witnessed a car accident in a very dark solitary place. Even though, only a few cars drove by, I was the only one who stopped to see how I could help those people.

Usually, it is difficult for those who do not go to church to have faith in God, because they see how so many people are called, “Christians” who say they believe in Him, yet others see them living the same lifestyle as when they didn’t know Him.

The woman that drove one of the cars had a sticker on her car’s back window that said the name of very well-known church in the city; so, it was easy for me to talk to her and keep her clam during the accident.
In that moment, the tow truck driver told her that her car no longer worked due to the incidents damage; so, she took a cigarrete out of her vehicle and as her anxiety grew, she began cursing using vulgar words.

I understood it was a stressful moment. During those times of pressure, we show who we really are inside and they reveal are true faith.

I did not have a bumper sticker on my vehicle. I had only stopped to help.

I helped them pay part of the cost for the towing services, because they did not have enough money. I asked them for their names and let them know that I would be praying for them. I waited until they both left and then I continued my way back home.

I hope they saw my faith through my actions.

So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. James 2:17 NLT

We cannot say that we have learned something if we do not practice it. Neither can we say we believe in something if we do not live it.

Think about it:

What can you change in your way of living, speaking, or treating other people to show your faith with actions?
