FEARS THAT WE MUST OVERCOME
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
What are the most common fears?
Fear of the unknown
– Many times, we are afraid to start something new and this stops us from progressing towards what God has for us.
– Our future is in God’s hands, we should not put it in the hands of sorcery, bad news, bad luck or a human being’s diagnostic.
Fear of failure
– The only ones who never fail are those who never try anything new.
– God has great plans for us, so do not be afraid of failing, studying, starting a new business, serving God, or doing something different. Jeremiah 29:11
Fear of betrayal or rejection
– Jesus was rejected, betrayed and abandoned, even by his own people, but all of that was part of the process to achieve his purpose on earth.
Fear of Death
– Jesus taught us that death could be defeated by overcoming it on the cross of Calvary, and that’s how he gave us authority to also overcome it.
Fear is contagious. There are experts who instill fear in others; these people are afraid of everything and they do not like to see individuals that have faith. Therefore, it is important for us to cast out fear from our lives, since it not only deprives us from reaching success, but it can also take us into a downfall.
Think about it:
Lately, what fears have held you back? How can you overcome them today?
Are you surrounded by people who instill fear in you? How can you get rid of fear in your life? FEARS THAT WE MUST OVERCOME
