WITH A TEACHABLE ATTITUDE
All of us human beings have a common denominator: we were all created by God with the potential to be successful people in life. Each of us make the difference when we choose how to respond to every circumstance in life. The one who has a negative mind, sees a stumbling block in each stone they find. A person with the right attitude, sees the same stone, but makes it a stepping stone to excel in life.
There are people who keep a teacher’s attitude, they think they know it all, they do not grow nor learn neither do they teach others. Most people, stop learning after they turn thirty years old. Usually, they are already married, they already have a stable job and therefore, they have an attitude that says, “I’m an adult and I do not need to learn anymore”.
In order to have success, we must have a teachable attitude our entire life. It does not matter how much time or experience we have or if our situation is difficult, we still must take advantage of them.
A person who is not teachable has the following characteristics:
It bothers them to be taught.
They get bothered when they are given advice.
It bothers them to be accountable to someone.
They do not like having an authority over them.
The argue against any instruction that is given to them.
They always have the last word: The conversation’s topic does not matter, they always have something to say. You rarely hear them stay quiet, because they always know something about the subject.
Let’s always try to have the right attitude that keeps us healthy, with open doors and that leads us to success.
Think about it:
Which attitudes are necessary to have success in life?
Why do people stop learning at a certain age?
Have I allowed myself to be taught? Am I always arguing or do I listen to what I’m told?
