The wise live debt free

THE WISE LIVE DEBT FREE

Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another… Romans 13:8 NLT

Let’s remember that the Lord cannot bless anyone who lacks order in their life, because surely, they will not be able to steward the blessings they receive. If you have not managed to take control of the little, how can you be sure that you won’t waste the much?

Three tips to help every person and family put their finances in order:

1. Work with a budget.
This will help you tell your money what to do, before it tells you what you can or can’t do.
You can use a budget on paper or digitally on your computer.

2. Make an emergency fund of about $1,000 to $2,000 dollars.
This will help you avoid asking for loans during unexpected situations, like when your washer or fridge breaks down. These will no longer be an emergency, because you are prepared.

3. Pay off your debts by using the “snowball”.
This is a fast technique that will help you pay off your debts. If you need more information about it, talk to someone in the church who has already used this technique or call us at (702) 871-1900.

From now on, avoid credit and all kinds of loans. If you do not have money to buy something, do not buy it. Simply, say NO to debts.

Remember that the borrower is a slave to the lender.

… and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7 MEV

Think about it:

Following the order in which steps one, two and three were mentioned, which one of the three steps do you need to start doing this week?
What do you need to do in order to obtain $1,000 or $2,000 dollars for your emergency fund?
What debts do you need to wipe out ASAP to keep your credit stable?
