Learn to be relevant and practical

LEARN TO BE RELEVANT AND PRACTICAL

When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. Matthew 13:19 NIV

How can the devil steal the message of the kingdom that has been sown in a person?

The only way the enemy can snatch the seed in a person, is when the individual that received it didn’t understand it. Most likely this may be because the preacher did not explain the Bible in a relevant and practical manner by using examples and illustrations that can help anyone in their daily life.

A lack of understanding is the reason many people get bored at church, and thus, the enemy gets away with his schemes and steals the seed that was sown in their hearts.

However, when we are relevant and practical when we preach at our House of Peace, at the park or at church, then the Word of God bears a lot of fruit. Therefore, in Eagles Christian Family Center we believe in practical relevancy.

We do our best to convey the Lord’s message in a non-sophisticated way, because our intention is not to impress others with our knowledge, but to feed God’s people in order to help them fulfill their purpose on earth.

Make sure to always keep a relative language when speaking to the new believers, and to people in general. It is not necessary to confuse people just because you want to sound intellectual. Follow the example Jesus set and interact with others by having a relevant and realistic communication.

But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Matthew 13:23 NIV

Think about it:

How are you communicating the Word of God?
Do you use elevated or relevant words when you speak to others? Why?
