Take something good from it

TAKE SOMETHING GOOD FROM IT

Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen’s death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. They preached the word of God… Acts 11:19 NLT

In those times, Christians were persecuted for saying that Jesus Christ was God and the Savior of the world. It seemed like a perverse and unjust tragedy, but their passion for the Lord made them turn those bad experiences into something beneficial.

1. They turned the persecutions into something good.
After Steven had been stoned, many people were afraid and they chose to leave their lands in order to flee from the terrible laws that endangered their lives and their family. However, this only accelerated the expansion of the Kingdom of Heavens.
God is a specialist when it comes to making the enemy’s schemes backfire. All the Christians had dispersed and escaped to different cities where they began to preach to all the inhabitants.
You may be experiencing a tough situation that the enemy wanted to use to silence and deviate you from God’s purpose in your life; but you must take advantage of the battles you face, lift your voice, and praise the Lord for the victory, because He already overcame on the Cross of Calvary.

2. They needed the supernatural power of God to take something good from a bad situation.
The Bible says: The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord. Acts 11:21 NLT
Maybe, you’re not being persecuted for being a Christian, but you might be feeling overwhelmed and threatened because of the uncertainty in regards to the immigration laws, the injustice, the lack of medical security and because you question, “What will happen tomorrow?”. The key to help you keep going forward is found in the Almighty’s unlimited power, not in your own strength.

In conclusion, remember these two things:
Number one, don’t lose heart because of what you are going through this week. Number two, remember that God’s supernatural power can help you change the pain and persecution into something that can benefit you and others.

Think about it:

How much do you trust the Lord?
How can you change your difficult circumstance into something good?
