Divine healing

DIVINE HEALING

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5 NIV).

The foundation of divine healing in an essential part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness was given to humanity the moment Jesus took our place on the cross because of our sins; and it is a privilege to all of us who believe in him as our Lord and Savior.

When Jesus came to earth, he proclaimed that the Kingdom of Heaven was near and that there was no sickness in His kingdom. Therefore, Jesus healed those who were oppressed physically and emotionally. He healed many and commissioned his disciples to do the same, and that same commission and power has been delegated to us. Thus, in the name of Jesus the sick are healed.

1.- What is divine healing?
Jesus Christ brought healing to our bodies through the cross, and God’s will for us is to be healthy and not sick. When we believe this, sickness becomes an opportunity to experience His healing power.

2.- How did the curse of sickness enter humanity?
In the beginning when mankind sinned they lost God’s protection and blessings. Jesus ended with this curse on the cross. All those who believe in him and his sacrifice will be healed and set free.

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole” (Galatians 3:13 NIV).

3.- Is it God’s will to heal His people?
God can and wants to heal us. In Mark 1:40-42, Jesus declared his will to heal the sick. The man that had leprosy was convinced that Jesus had the power to cure him, however, he wasn’t sure if Jesus was willing to do it. This problem was solved when Jesus answered the following, “I am willing. Be clean”.

4.- What can we do to receive our healing?
All we have to do is believe what God has said in His Word wholeheartedly.

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved” (Romans 10:10 NIV).

Think about it:
