The power of the resurrection of Christ

THE POWER OF THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST

“The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18 NLT).

When Jesus was dying on the cross of Calvary, many people didn’t understand the power in his sacrifice; they were far from comprehending the gift God had given humanity. Nowadays, there are still many who do not understand the power of the cross and resurrection, and that’s why they cannot access its benefits.

Every disease and hurt has been canceled on Jesus Christ’s back when he was being beaten. He literally paid the highest price for our sicknesses, if we believe in him there’s no reason as to why we should be sick.

“But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed” (Isaiah 53:5 NLT).

After Jesus died, one of the roman soldiers pierced a spear through his right side and water and blood came out. The entire punishment that we deserved as sinners fell upon Jesus, whom had never sinned.

The Bible confirms that Jesus did not perish, but that he resurrected on the third day. Not only that, but he also snatched the keys of hell from Satan and defeated death so that we would live with Him forever in heaven.

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:55 NLT).

Recognizing the sacrifice that Jesus made for us is what qualifies us to be saved, there is no other way to reach salvation than through the cross. Therefore, we must never be ashamed of Him, because though the resurrection is foolish to the world, to us it is power!

“The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18 NLT).

Think about it:

What miracle do you need from God? Ask Him for it, there is power in the cross.
What do you need to be set free from? There is total freedom in Jesus, freedom from the past, shame and sickness.
