There are still jordans to cross

THERE ARE STILL JORDANS TO CROSS

“Go through the camp and tell the people to get their provisions ready. In three days you will cross the Jordan River and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you” (Joshua 1:11 NLT).

God wants to take you to the promised land, where milk and honey flows abundantly, but when you are tired, you don’t have the strength to cross the Jordan and obtain your blessing on the other side.

The Bible says that Jesus was baptized in the Jordan river and that right after being submerged into the water, the heavens were opened. The Lord wants to open the windows of heaven over your life to bless you, but first you need to rest, not so you can be idle, but so your strength can be renewed in order to cross the river and enter your promised land.

The Word says:

“Early the next morning Joshua and all the Israelites left Acacia Grove and arrived at the banks of the Jordan River, where they camped before crossing” (Joshua 3:1 NLT).

The Israelites camped before crossing the river, in other words, they rested. What does this mean? That before working towards our goals we need to rest. There are promises from God that have not been fulfilled in your life, and you cannot die without seeing them come to past. The best in your life is yet to come, but you need to learn to rest in the Lord so that you reach greater things.

People get tired because they don’t see positive results in their life; they work hard and still do not see fruit. This is why God tells us to remain in the vine whom is Jesus, and that is how we will always bear fruit. Sometimes we think we have to do more for the Lord to be fruitful, when in reality all we have to do is spend more time with Him. It is in the times of prayer, worship, and intimacy with the Heavenly Father that we rest and renew our strength.

Don’t allow the devil to attack you or slow you down with tiredness! Get up, eat and drink because you have a long way to go. Get up and seek the Father in intimacy, eat His Word and drink from His rivers of life, His presence, and you’ll see that you won’t get tired because He is with you.

“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 NLT).

Think about it:

What Jordans do you still need to cross?

How can you rest in God today?
