AN IDLE MIND IS SATAN’S WORKSHOP
David made a mistake that caused him many headaches. He ended up sleeping with another man’s wife committing adultery, he conspired an assassination, suffered and cried because his son, a blameless child had to also pay for the consequences of his sin.
The problem started because David stayed idle when he was supposed to be working. It was not time to stay in the palace, it was time to go to war.
Do not stay home when it’s time to be at work, school or at church.
The Bible says:
“Everything has
Keep doing productive things every day. You cannot afford to be lazy. Do not stay idle and do not caress temptation.2. Do not allow negative actions.
Keep your focus on the important things in life.1. Do not allow negative thoughts to fill your mind.
it’s time (Ecclesiastes 3:1),” it is good to rest, work, have fun, and etc. However, when we do things that are rightin the wrong time, then they become wrong. David stayed home when he should have been working and he ended up sinning. Do not let your mind become idle or else it will become Satan’s workshop.
I have seen people who have made painful mistakes in their lives because they have distanced themselves from God and stopped serving in their church. They go back to their old life, fall once again into the destructive habits that they had left, they again suffer depression, addiction, insomnias, and problems in their finances, vocation, emotions, etc. Therefore, you must keep your thoughts and actions on the important things in life; such as your relationship with God, your family, your job, studies and serving others.
Think about it:
How are you taking care of your thoughts?
Is your mind occupied or unoccupied? What is your mind occupied in or why is it unoccupied?
