KEEP PREACHING
Jeremiah was a great prophet who preached the Word, however, he was put in jail because of preaching the gospel. He became so frustrated that he started to curse the day he had been born. Jeremiah was angry and he didn’t understand why he had to be punished for obeying God.
Sometimes in your own family, you are not allowed to speak about Jesus, and maybe you feel like Jeremiah. When someone is upset, depressed or bitter, they’re not the only ones who feel bad, because soon they begin to curse everyone around them, making those who surround them feel the same way. Despite this, we must continue to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and not allow persecution to bring us down. Here are a couple of reasons that describe the importance of preaching.
1. Because it is a mandate from God.
The Bible says, go, and preach. To who? To the city of Las Vegas, to your entire family, to all the nations on the face of the earth. This is why God the Father saved us; He wanted us to be carriers of His glory, so that through us many would come to know Him.
2. Because there is a need.
There is a big need in the world, and this is another reason as to why we must keep preaching the solution, the life, the truth, and the hope of glory found in Jesus Christ. It is our responsibility to preach with our words and with our example. This is the only way we can fill the heavens with souls and depopulate hell. The people depend on you.
Think about it:
Why is it important for you to preach the Word of God?
Who can you tell about the wonder the Lord has made?
