MAKE WAY FOR GOD’S JUSTICE
Will you choose vengeance or God’s justice? While reading this passage, we can see how David completely trusted in the Lord’s justice.
We live in a world that is imperfect and corrupted by sin, and almost everyone has been in a situation where they have felt as if they have been mistreated, discriminated, criticized, or offended.
You have different options when something unjust happens to you. You can take vengeance, which will bring more problems, or you can let God bring justice.
David decided to make God his defender.
Many people end up committing crimes due to their explosive anger and then they end up in jail. Don’t let yourself be filled with vengeance, because this will only multiply your problems.
Vengeance won’t only make your enemy’s life miserable, but it will make your life miserable too. Resist the desire to want to wrestle with the pigs in the mud, because even if you win, you’ll still come out filthy and smelly because of the mud and pigsty. It’s best to let God’s justice take place. Stop fighting in your own strength and let the Lord fight for you.
David spoke with the Lord and told Him: “Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, we have defeated him! Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me” (Psalm 13:4-6 NLT).
