Sin is attractive, but it changes things

SIN IS ATTRACTIVE, BUT IT CHANGES THINGS

“But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her, and since he was stronger than she was, he raped her. 15 Then suddenly Amnon’s love turned to hate, and he hated her even more than he had loved her. “Get out of here!” he snarled at her” (2 Samuel 13:14-15 NLT).

Sin is deceitful. It will make you happy for a moment, but then it will fill you with suffering. Let’s be frank, sin doesn’t present itself before us as something tragic or like death; many times, it is attractive, it feels good to do. Sin is very popular because everyone in the world does it. Temptation presents itself before us as something that produces pleasure (at least momentarily). Nevertheless, the truth is found in the consequences it brings.

Amnon believed that he was in love with his half-sister Tamar, but in reality, he had a sinful obsession with her that led him to commit a crime of rape. What’s interesting is that the Bible says that sin immediately changed love into hate.

“… since he was stronger than she was, he raped her. Then suddenly Amnon’s love turned to hate, and he hated her even more than he had loved her” (2 Samuel 13:14-15 NLT).

Sin will present itself as something attractive this

Sex in marriage is supposed to be something sacred and pleasurable, but fornication caused this young lady, her father, and her brother a lot of pain, which would cause their family many deaths in the future.
week, but think twice, look beyond the moment, and remember that at the end it will bring many painful consequences.

The Word says:
“There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death” (Proverbs 14:12 NIV).

Every day, we need to be aware that there are things we do that seem pleasant, but that only lead us to the grave, divorce, court and even to the hospital.

Another biblical version says:

“Before every man there lies a wide and pleasant road that seems right but ends in death” (Proverbs 14:12 TLB).

Think about it twice. Sin isn’t what it looks like; things change…

Think about it:

Have you let yourself be overcome by something that seems attractive, but that might not be convenient for you?
How can you avoid painful consequences in life?
