THERE’S NO SUCCESS, IF THERE’S NO SOLID FOUNDATIONS Part 3
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalms 11:3 KJV).
In the last days, you have discovered that God is one of the most important foundations. He exists and He is real in your life. Second, you understood that you’re not an accident, but that God created you with a purpose. Third, you learned that the Bible is the guide that will help you successfully achieve your purpose. Let’s view the fourth foundation for your life.
4. You were created for God’s family.
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household” (Ephesians 2:19 NIV).
We were not designed to live alone. We are social beings and we were created to fellowship with other people.
God wanted a big family and He wanted you to be part of it, and today we know this family as the church. Now, do you understand why you hear many people call themselves brothers and sisters?
Certainly, there are problems and disagreements in families, but there is also love, protection, provision, encouragement, and understanding. Your church is your spiritual family and though you will meet difficult people, you will also meet people who God uses to bless your life; you will see how the Lord heals the sick, restores families, delivers the addicts, empowers business men and women, and how He pours out blessings over your life.
The Bible says, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!… It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore” (Psalms 133:1, 3 NIV).
If you still don’t go to a church, look for one that has these foundations, and become part of a spiritual family. Start to attend the Sunday services or a House of Peace during the week. Join God’s family.
Think about it:
What can you do get closer to your spiritual family?
Why is it important to have healthy relationships in your life?
