There’s no success, if there’s no solid foundations – Part 1

THERE’S NO SUCCESS, IF THERE’S NO SOLID FOUNDATIONS Part 1

“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalms 11:3 KJV).

I have some pictures of the land where we built our church. The land was empty and full of deep ditches that were then filled with concrete and bolstered with shafts. The construction company took a long time in preparing the foundations, because these foundations had to be very strong in order to sustain the church for several generations.
Corner stones are very important when it comes to building, but they’re also vital when edifying your marriage or building your destiny in life.

The Bibles says, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalms 11:3 KJV).

Here are two foundations that are essential to having success on earth.

1. God.
One of the basic foundations is knowing that God exists and that He is real in your life. Things are not about you, they’re about Him.
Someone who doesn’t have a conviction in God, tends to make many mistakes. They’re people without a defined purpose, they think they’re on earth by chance and that they’re the result of evolution and therefore have no divine objective. They call themselves “atheists” but the Bible calls them fools.

“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good” (Psalms 14:1 NIV).

The first foundation is to know that God is real, and that He’s not just another false method to help humans escape their problems.
You must have the conviction that Jesus Christ is not just another legend, nor fairytale; that he’s not just another man who walked on earth or another prophet. You need to have the conviction that Jesus is God and the Savior of the world.
Knowing this will give you identity and purpose; and it will be easier for you to define your mission, while you go through this short life.

2.  You were created with a purpose. You are not an accident.
Your second foundation must be to understand that you were not born by chance, but that you were designed on purpose by the Lord.
You are not the result of a passionate night during someone’s marriage, nor are you the fruit of a relationship at a hotel after a night of dancing and drinking alcohol. Despite the circumstances during your birth, you were planned by God and He used a man and a woman called parents to bring you to this world.
Now, why weren’t you born a thousand years ago? Why weren’t you born in another country? Because God has a purpose for you here where you are and in this time.
How can you understand this purpose? How do you receive guidance to help you succeed in your mission? Well, I will share the next foundation in the upcoming devotional…

Think about it:

What foundations do you need to have success in your life?
Why is it important to have foundations?
