Tell the fearful hearts…

TELL THE FEARFUL HEARTS…

“… say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you”” (Isaiah 35:4 NIV).

During certain occasions, we might feel fearful because of the difficult situations we are experiencing or because we are going through unknown territories.

“… say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you”” (Isaiah 35:4 NIV).

1. Be strong. Endeavor. Keep going forward despite fear. Continue doing what is good no matter the threats or criticism. Perseverance will help you make it to the finish line when others abandon the race, their marriage, college, the ministry, etc. Endeavor.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 NIV).

2. Don’t be afraid. How do we eliminate fear? Remembering who we are. Remembering the victories God has already given us in the past.

3. Leave the reprisals to God. Do not take vengeance for yourself.

4. Remember that God rewards everyone according to their work. God offers two kinds of payments. He will give your enemies the payment due to their evil, but you will receive the payment due to your faithfulness, the reward of your service.

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them” (Hebrews 6:10 NIV).

Think about it:

Have you felt fearful? What can you do to strengthen your heart in times of pressure?
Why do you think it’s important not to take vengeance for yourself and instead leave it up to God?
