5 THINGS GOD WANTS TO DO WITH YOU
“Now go and say to my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel. I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth!” (1 Chronicles 17:7-8 NLT).
In this passage, we see why God took David out of tending the sheep. David was only being prepared to lead the people of Israel. The Lord transformed him, and he took him from being an average person to becoming a successful person.
What does God want to do with you?
1. The Lord wants to take you out of tending the sheep. In other words, He wants to take you from being average to becoming an outstanding individual in everything you do.
2. God wants to put you in places of authority. When this happens, your influence grows and it is easier for you to lead. People see God’s favor in you and trust you as a leader, thus you become a trustworthy person.
3. The Lord wants to be with you. In fact, He promises to be with you wherever you go.
4. God wants to destroy your enemies. The only thing you need to do is put Him first in your life. In this way, He will walk before you as a trail blazer and as a giant who is always defending you.
5. The Lord wants your business to be famous and for everything you do to be prosperous. Prosperity is for the children of God. Maybe you have felt as if you’re still tending the sheep, but remember that wherever you are, God is there with you, and He is preparing you to become a successful leader in the place of influence He has called you to be.
“I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth!” (1 Chronicles 17:8 NLT).
