Tips to fully enjoy this week

TIPS TO FULLY ENJOY THIS WEEK

“Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat” (Mark 6:31 NLT).

The Bible teaches us that Jesus and his disciples were so busy with the multitudes that they had to depart and go to a quiet place to rest. This scene shows us that Jesus saw it was unhealthy to always be busy.

In the same way at Eagles CFC we are taking a week to rest and focus on the family. We are a church who works very hard just like many other churches. There are times when we don’t even have time to eat with our families.

At Eagles CFC, we have come out of the church building to take the church to the homes. I want to give you some tips that will help you maximize your experience this week.

1. Do not get in debt.
Do not get in debt because you are trying to go on a vacation you did not make a budget for, or else you are going to return even more stressed, because then you’ll have to pay interest all year long. Instead, take it easy and stay home. Look for ways to enjoy your family while not getting in debt.

2. Make time to eat together with your family.
Gather with your family at the table, eat and talk together. Take time to connect with your spouse, sons and daughters. Perhaps you can take advantage of this time to fix a problem between you and your spouse or simply bond with them. Do you know if your son or daughter likes someone? Do you know what their dreams are? Intentionally connect with your family this week.

3. Have fun.
If you and your family like to go camping then go camping this week, you don’t have to pay for a luxurious hotel. Make time to go watch a movie or go to the park. What do I know. Probably, some of you who are part of the spiritual family will call each other during the week and say, “Hey I’m bored, do you want to go out and eat?”.

My point is have fun. This week is an atmosphere of rest, it is a time to strengthen the ropes of relationships and love in our homes, families, and with our kids. Therefore, rest and take advantage of the week.

“Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat” (Mark 6:31 NLT).

Think about it:

What will you do this week to intentionally strengthen the ropes of love in your family?
What pending conversations do you have with your sons, daughters, or spouse?
