Lean on your spiritual family

LEAN ON YOUR SPIRITUAL FAMILY

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2 NIV).

We are called to be a people who help one another. Being a lone ranger while we are here on earth will be very hard for us, because we all need the warmth and support of a spiritual family.

The church of the Lord is our spiritual family. Perhaps you might say, “But, how can I call someone who’s not my blood, brother or sister? True, biologically we do not have the same blood, but we were washed by the same blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Therefore, we are brothers and sisters.

We all need someone to count on during the dark times of our lives. I know that God is present at all times; but isn’t it true that while we are here on earth we need hugs and words of encouragement that tell us, “I still believe in you”? Of course!

“Therefore encourage one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18 NIV).

God calls us to encourage one another. Houses of Peace, discipleships, and the ministries here at Eagles Christian Family Center are very important, because when the tough times come we are able to count on our spiritual family’s support, relationship and encouragement.

Some say, “When I was sick no one visited me”. However, these individuals never cared to become part of a small group that forms part of our greater spiritual family. It is essential to relate with others so that we are supported during the good and bad times of our life.

Eagles Christian Family Center has done an excellent job in taking care of one another during the tough times of life. We are not perfect, neither are we the only church in Las Vegas, but we are one of the churches that form part of the body of Christ and that is loving one another till the end.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2 NIV).

Think about it:

What burden have you been carrying all by yourself during this time of your life?
Who are those brothers and sisters that you can count on all the time?
