Obedience gives life

OBEDIENCE GIVES LIFE

“… They wouldn’t obey my regulations even though obedience would have given them life… I threatened to pour out my fury on them… But again, I held back…” (Ezekiel 20:13-14 NLT).

Obeying God’s commandments and instructions give us a better quality of life. The Lord doesn’t want to give us a hard life, He just wants life to go well for us, and that is why He has provided a series of instructions that are like a map to guide us toward success; while helping us avoid the dangerous and painful paths.

Obeying God’s regulations will lead us through a route that will help us enjoy our life to the fullest. When we obey His regulations, we reach success with joy, a family, without sickness, without divorce, and with God’s blessing. We save ourselves from falling into unnecessary problems that delay the good plans He has for our lives.

Many of us till this day struggle to truly obey God. We want to do things in our own way, we still believe there is nothing wrong with lying once in a while or stealing something from work. We have lost the fear of the Lord.

The Bible says:

“But the people of Israel rebelled against me, and they refused to obey my decrees there in the wilderness. They wouldn’t obey my regulations even though obedience would have given them life…” (Ezekiel 20:13 NLT).

If we want to live a blessed life, we first need to recover the fear of God and obey His commandments once again. We cannot continue to be rebellious and deny this reality. We are not going to reach success far from God’s path, true success is achieved in Him.

Here at Eagles CFC, true success is to: continuously fulfill God’s purpose in my life and for my life. If we are not in obedience, then that means we are not in our purpose. The life you currently have has been given to you by grace, and before the foundation of the earth, God gave your life purpose.

Do you want to have life? Obey the giver of life, God. He is your fabricator and it benefits you to obey His regulations, because He established them in order to help you prosper in everything you do.

“… They wouldn’t obey my regulations even though obedience would have given them life… I threatened to pour out my fury on them… But again, I held back…” (Ezekiel 20:13-14 NLT).

Think about it:

What commandment have you still refused to obey?
What mistakes do you keep making over and over again because you don’t want to obey?
