Our responsibilities

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES

“My sons, do not neglect your duties any longer! The Lord has chosen you to stand in his presence, to minister to him, and to lead the people in worship and present offerings to him” (2 Chronicles 29:11 NLT).

As leaders, we are responsible for serving God and people in order to make our society a better place. Rarely do we see or hear that the promises certain politicians make come to pass, because we are in a time where evil is intensifying and every day it seems harder to help our society because most do not recognize we need a change.

The Lord has called us, the Church, to be world changers through His supernatural power and the power of His Word. There are changes and improvements that mankind cannot do in their own humanity, but we who operate through God are able to make a difference. Today we will share the responsibilities that you and I must practice every day so that we become the trailblazers who cause a true and constant change in our city.

1. We must teach people how to live in communion with God’s presence.
In a world that is so secularized and materialistic where many do not know the Lord and therefore consider knowing God a “religious” idea, it is highly important that we show people how to live in unity with God’s presence.

We remain full of the Holy Spirit through having a genuine relationship with Him. This is the only way we can teach people how to live in communion with the Lord.

2. We need to teach people how to serve.
It is necessary to learn and practice a life of servitude toward God and people. Service is the purest way to show the Lord our gratitude and love for Him and the souls.

3. We need to teach others how to worship.
Many do not have a problemwith singing at a party or concert, but they don’t dare to worship the Lord by singing at their church. We need to set the example of what it is to be a worshipper in and out of the church, because this is the only way others will do the same.

4. We need to teach people the culture of offering once again.
In this materialistic society, the human being’s tendency is to receive, take, steal, and obtain, no matter if they cheat. However, the greatest satisfaction is found in living to give something in return with the purpose to leave this world better than when we found it.

All of this has to do with our attitude. We give our time, service, resources, songs, love, and words of affirmation because it is our responsibility before the Heavenly Father and people.

“My sons, do not neglect your duties any longer! The Lord has chosen you to stand in his presence, to minister to him, and to lead the people in worship and present offerings to him” (2 Chronicles 29:11 NLT).

Think about it:

What responsibilities have your neglected?
What act can you do today to cause a positive impact in your society?
