Rest in the word of God

REST IN THE WORD OF GOD

Every word of God proves true.He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.. – Proverbs 30:5 NLT

When we are going through difficult times, it is very easy to allow ourselves to be confused by the enemy and have negative thoughts of hate, resentment, and revenge.

During loss and problems, you may want to find refuge in something or distract yourself from those thoughts, however, television shows full of empty content and tragic newsdoes not have the power to cheer you up.

Only God can heal your pain through the power of the thousands of promises in the BibleHe has in store just for you.

Replace all your negative thoughts by finding one or three promises in the Bible every day. If you can, do your best to memorize it. Begin asking God to speak to you through the Word and to comfort you.

Do not fall behind on your Bible reading because you will neglect yourself and allow a continuation of negative thoughts, which can enter your heart and leave a root of bitterness.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. – Romans 8:28 (NLT)

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others – 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NLT)

Remember that the pain we experience during a loss does not only imply the death of a loved one but also a divorce, loss of health, employment, business, money, or a close friend. Nevertheless, our relief will always come from God. Seek refuge in His Word.

Think about it:

Are you seeking refuge for your problems in the right place?

What value have you given to the Word of God in your life compared to the value you have given to the words others tell you?

Which one of God’s promises found in the Bible will you memorize today?
