SERVING GOD
I remember, years ago, when I came to the United States with the intention to work hard and make money. I was working compulsively serving the god of materialism and my own desires, which was also common with the rest of my friends. I made some accomplishments, but there was a problem: there was no satisfaction in my life, I did not have a clear purpose, and I was on my way to getting into a lot of problems.
I was only becoming a slave in the materialistic world, I was becoming a servant in a corrupt society.
However, one day everything changed when I decided to serve God.
We should never complain because of serving God. Today, I can say that it is a privilege to serve God by serving His people. I continue to work hard, but now I know the difference between working hard for the world and working hard for God, and I would definitely prefer to serve God a million times than to serve my own desires, materialism or other selfish peoples’ whims.
My life serving Christ has been satisfying, full of purpose, peace, sincere friends, rewards, and health in my spiritual, family, social and financial life.
Think about it:
Evaluate your life. Who are you really serving?
Are you satisfied in your life?
