Take care of your relationship with God

TAKE CARE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

“Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem, but he went out among the people… encouraging the people to return to the Lord, the God of their ancestors” (2 Chronicles 19:4 NLT).

We live in a culture that seems to encourage people to depend less and less on God every day. Prayer has been prohibited in schools and people cannot use expressions that mention God in places like work or government institutions. The excuse or reason is because we want to avoid offending atheists or people who think it’s ridiculous to believe God is real.

If you pay attention, you’ll realize that television and social media support a culture that is further and further away from the concept of a society rooted in the absolute truth of the Bible.

Who will make the difference? Men and women like Jehoshaphat that are not ashamed of their faith in God, who have come out of their comfort zone and who are willing to go out and encourage young people and adults to return to God will be the difference makers.

The work we do at Eagles CFC through the hundreds of Houses of Peace is extremely valuable. This is how we mobilize the church to go out into the schools, homes, and work places in order to bring a message of hope and faith in God.

We are in a time where it is highly important for us to watch our relationship with the Lord. Though the world depends less and less on God every day, you and I must depend on Him completely. This is the only way we will be able to go out in Las Vegas to help everyone return to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

“Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem, but he went out among the people… encouraging the people to return to the Lord, the God of their ancestors” (2 Chronicles 19:4 NLT).

Think about it:

Why do you think that your relationship with God has the power to help many people?
What will you do different today to become a carrier of God’s presence in your city?
