The defeated, the hikers and the climbers

THE DEFEATED, THE HIKERS AND THE CLIMBERS

“King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God” (2 Chronicles 27:6 NLT).

In continuation with the book, “Resolved: 13 Resolutions for life” I want to show you the difference between the defeated, the hikers and the climbers. Again, I remind you that your decisions determine your success.

1. The defeated.
The people who are considered defeated are those who focus on the dangers that can happen if they take a risk in order to obtain success; thus, these people are prone to completely abandon their goals.

2. The hikers.
This group of individuals are those who start off well in the race of life, because they’re enthusiastic, ready to run with the vision and ready to advance in life.

However, since they start off too fast, they grow tired and they get discouraged in the middle of their past achievements and their future goals, therefore they end up not finishing the race of life. They are people who don’t know how to return to their roots, because they are unable to remember why they do what they do, so they choose to compromise their values and convictions in exchange for their commodity. In the long run these people decide not to pay the price of success.

3. The climbers.
The third group of people are those who refuse to compromise their purpose and convictions because they have already made up their minds. They knew that no matter what would happen and no matter how painful it would be that they were going to continue on the path toward success.

Today I want to encourage you not to become a conformist. No one told you that this path toward success was going to be easy! You are different, you are a reformist. God has great plans with you and He knows you have what it takes to pay the price of success in your life.

“King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God” (2 Chronicles 27:6 NLT).

Think about it:

What group of people do you identify yourself with?
What do you want in life and how much will it cost you?
