THE POT ON THE COALS
I think we are like this pot that was set over the burning coals. We too are being placed over the Holy Spirit’s fire so that all the filth and corruption burns away in our hearts and minds.
A pot is an instrument that usually is used to cook food, water, oil, etc. However, we are also an instrument God uses to deposit His oil, which is His anointing and His Word, which is the food our world needsto receive healing andrestoration in theirfamilies.
When we go through the fire, we shouldn’t complain. It is best to thank God because our faith and character is being purified and refined. Every day God gives us the opportunity to make decisions that align us to our purpose. Take advantage of every situation in your life that has the potential to refine you.
Going through the fire doesn’t only mean that our faith and character will be tested, but that we are also going to lose certain things that we do not need, that we will have to let go of certain attitudes that do not benefit us, that we will have to let go of the old ways of thinking in order to renew our mentality and access God’s blessings.
Finally, going through the fire also means that we will experience pain. Nevertheless, the result of our temporary pain will be a greater victory that surpasses the current pain we might be feeling. Do not be discouraged when you go through the fire, instead accept the challenge, and allow it to make you a better person.
Think about it:
In which aspects of your life are you being refined like the pot that was set onburning coals?
What do you want to take from the challenge you are facing? What positive results are you expecting to obtain?
