WHENEVER YOU SEEK HIM…

“… The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you” (2 Chronicles 15:2 NLT).

Something I like about God is that He never forces us to do anything, not even to have an intimate relationship with Him. He loves us and longs to be close to us, but at the same time He respects our free will.

“… The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you” (2 Chronicles 15:2 NLT).

He wants us to seek Him voluntarily. He is ready to receive us and help us the moment we decide to come close to Him and serve Him willingly. However, He is also ready to let us go if we choose to let Him go. This here shows us that He wants sons and daughters that are mature, stable, and defined. He doesn’t want people who are whimsical and unstable.

Jesus also assures us that there is an answer for those who take the initiative to seek Him.

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8 NLT).

Each time you choose to seek God, He Himself guarantees that you will find Him. I don’t know what you have been seeking lately, but I do know that in God you will find whatever it is that you need. Choose to seek Him today and stop looking in other places trying to find what only you can find in God.
