A leader makes difficult decisions – II

A LEADER MAKES DIFFICULT DECISIONS
PART II

“Get up, for it is your duty to tell us how to proceed in setting things straight. We are behind you, so be strong and take action” (Ezra 10:4 NLT).

In continuation with the topic about being leaders that are willing to make difficult decisions, I want to share the last two steps that will help us when making big decisions in our life.

3. Seek wise counsel.
In the multitude of counselors, there is wisdom. Surround yourself with wise people who fear God, who know the scriptures and who have moral values like you.

“…We will follow the advice given by you and by the others who respect the commands of our God. Let it be done according to the Law of God” (Ezra 10:3 NLT).

It is important to surround yourself with the right people. If we surround ourselves with the right people, then we will be heading toward success, but if we surround ourselves with the wrong people, then we will be heading toward mediocrity.

4. Get up, decide, and lead the people.
As long as you have the Lord’s support, don’t be afraid of making difficult decisions.
Don’t be afraid of people’s disapproval, only God’s.
Treasure God’s approval over people’s praise.

“Get up, for it is your duty to tell us how to proceed in setting things straight. We are behind you, so be strong and take action” (Ezra 10:4 NLT).

Trust in the Lord’s direction, even if some people disagree with you now, because at the end they’ll realize God was guiding you and they’ll appreciate your courage and leadership during difficult times.

“Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest” (Ecclesiastes 11:4 NLT).

Trust in God and begin to advance despite your problems, fears, and doubts because He is with you.

“Get up, for it is your duty to tell us how to proceed in setting things straight. We are behind you, so be strong and take action” (Ezra 10:4 NLT).

Think about it:

Where have you not been able to advance because you’re not trusting God?
What decision do you need to make today that you have been postponing?
