NOT BY MIGHT NOR POWER
There are many situations in life that will make us react and enforce justice in our own strength, emotions or human wisdom, but the Word of God teaches us to learn to move, defend and act by the power of His Holy Spirit:
- Every day: I ask God to fill me with His Spirit to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- Every day: I ask God to help me control my mouth, because it hold the power of life and death (Proverbs 10:19). Talking more than I should leads to sin (Proverbs 13:3) but those who control their mouth will have a long life.
- Every day: I make God’s Word my word. This is why I encourage you to memorize these biblical verses and attend a House of Peace. Read the Bible every day, and read the devotionals I sent you every day called, “Faith for your Day”.
Doing these things every daywill cause something good to come out of us when we are under pressure. We need to heal our damaged emotions, so that when life puts pressure on us, the fruit of the Spirit comes out instead of the fruit of the flesh. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, humility and self-control.
Let’s ask the Lord to fill us with his Holy Spirit so that when pressure comes to our homes, jobs, ministries, and schools, we can demonstrate stable emotions and attitudes that represent God’s kingdom correctly.
Think about it:
What things do you need to stop doing in your own strength?
Which one of the previous daily actions do you need to apply to your own life?
