Be relevant

BE RELEVANT

“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’” (Matthew 25:1, 5-6 NIV).

The ten virgins represent the Church and the groom represents our Lord Jesus. Nevertheless, five of these virgins were foolish, but the other five were wise. The question is, which one are you?

The one who is asleep doesn’t notice what is going on around them, they do not know when there is a burglar that wants to break into their house, they do not realize that the devil is like a roaring lion seeking who he can devour. Why? Because theyare spiritually asleep, so the devil devours them.

How do you know if you are asleep? It is evident that you are spiritually asleep the moment you stop being relevant; meaning, you begin to get dry and you have nothing new to offer. Have you ever been to a place where there is a sign that says there is a river, but you don’t see one? That is because the river is dry.

Just as a river gets dry, we are also at risk of becoming dry and irrelevant if we do not rest and mature spiritually.

Here in Eagles CFC one of our values is relevance. We believe that the Bible will always be our foundation and we will present it in a creative and understandable manner to every person.

We are a walking Bible, we are the ones who are continuing to write the Book of Acts as we serve God. The only way God can continue to preach is through our life, and if we become irrelevant, then He will not be able to reach the greatest amount of souls in the least amount of time.

Do not allow yourself to get to the point where you fall asleep, because you can miss a divine encounter with the Lord. Today I encourage you to take it easy and to rest in prayer so that you remain relevant, full of the revelation found in God’s Word and alert.

Think about it:

Do you feel like you have become irrelevant?
What do you need to do to remain relevant?
