Passion for God

PASSION FOR GOD

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” (2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV).

When we stop having an intimacy with God then we lose our passion for Him. If you have noticed that you don’t feel like reading the Bible and you don’t pray anymore, but you’re still able to watch the news and your favorite reality T.V. shows then you need to wake up, because this means you have lost your passion.

Many times, we allow suffering, impatience, and inconsistency to quench God’s fire in us. Apostle Paul said that the sufferings we are experiencing today are only producing an eternal glory that is far greater than our momentary pain.

When a woman is pregnant, and she is about to give birth, the first thing she begins to feel are contractions, then she gives birth to her baby. What am I saying with this? I am saying that the pain you are currently experiencing is only announcing a new season in your life. The best is yet to come!

Do not lose your passion, because your growth process is too painful. Do not lose passion because God is testing your faith to help you mature. Do not lose your passion because you’ve been asking Him for a miracle and He still doesn’t answer you. Do not lose your passion because you have grown tired of seeking the Lord, yet you don’t find Him the way you expect to. Do not lose your passion!

Do you know what is the saddest thing in life? To live without passion. I don’t know what your struggle has been, but today I tell you not to lose your passion, continue to grow, continue to sing during the worship services at your church until you believe what you are singing, but do not give up.

Perhaps, God has made you promises, or you have received prophetic words over your life; whatever the case may be, before seeing these promises come to pass you need to wait patiently. God is never late; He is always on time. You are a champion of faith, get passionate because passion brings meaning to your life.

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” (2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV).

Think about it:

What suffering do you need to make into stepping stones to help you succeed?
What do you need to continue to declare until you believe it?
