Resist temptation

RESIST TEMPTATION

“I have the right to do anything—you say—but not everything is beneficial. I have the right to do anything—but not everything is constructive” (1 Corinthians 10:23 NIV).

When we do not open our heart to examine it and heal it, then the wounds in our heart become scabs, thus, we become numb in those areas of our heart.

Our conscious works the same way. When we step out of God’s limits, which are His commandments, and constantly sin, then we no longer feel the Holy Spirit’s reproof, because we are asleep.

“All things are lawful forme, but not all things are helpful” (1 Corinthians 10:23 NKJV).

When you allow yourself to sin, then your conscious will no longer tell you, and it is easier for you to fall into temptation.

Some say, “What’s wrong with drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes if God made them?”. Yes, it is God’s creation, but He also created muriatic acid, but that doesn’t mean you have to drink it.

We all have weaknesses, for we are all human beings with a sinful nature. This iswhy, we need to mark our boundaries and avoid falling into temptation. If we do not set boundaries then we will end up making many mistakes in life.

When someone sears their heart, they fall. If you are asleep in this area, wake up, wakeyour conscious.

We cannot regress to our past life. The Bible says:

“The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21 NIV).

Today I want to encourage you not to look back, instead remain alert. Guard your heart above all things and do not do everything that is lawful to you, because not everything will help you fulfill your purpose in life.

“I have the right to do anything,’ you say—but not everything is beneficial. I have the right to do anything—but not everything is constructive” (1 Corinthians 10:23 NIV).

Think about it:

Whatthings have caused you to fall asleep?
Is your conscious asleep?
