Talk to God

TALK TO GOD

“And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name” (Exodus 33:17 NIV).

The Lord sent Moses to lead the people of Israel out of slavery into the promised land. For this reason, Moses asked God for three things that would enable him to succeed in his mission.

Many times, we go through life without any sense of direction and therefore we do not reach success. It is very important that we ask God for these three things to lead our lives and the lives of those who follow us.

1. Show me your ways.
The Bible says, “Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people” (Exodus 33:13 NKJV).

Moses was smart in asking the following, “show me now Your ways, that I may know You” (Exodus 33:13 NKJV). When we ask God to show us His ways, His will for our lives, then we get to know Him and ourselves more.

2. Let your presence go with me.
“And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here” (Exodus 33:14-15 NKJV).

Do not leave your house without first praying to God and making sure His presence is with you. It is true that He is already close to you because He is omnipresent, but there is power when God takes you by the hand and walks with you, because you have a relationship with Him and He considers you His friend.

3. Show me your glory.

“And he said, “Please, show me Your glory” (Exodus 33:18 NKJV).

God wants you to experience Him, but many times we do not seek an encounter with His glory. God’s glory is tangible in a person when the person is constantly having encounters with Him.

Do not continue to live without being sure of God’s will for your life. Make sure that His presence is with you and seek His glory. If you have these three things you will not have to worry about anything, because you will be successful in all you do.

“And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name” (Exodus 33:17 NIV).

Think about it:

What do you need to express to God today?
What are the Heavenly Father’s ways for your life?
How are you leading your life?
