Everything we do

EVERYTHING WE DO

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another… Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ…” (1 Peter 4:10-11 NLT).

Everything we do in our life must give God glory and benefit others. We were not created to be people who start projects only for self-interest, we are a people who were designed to make out of our lives something that blesses others and that reveals God’s greatness.

Today I want to share three results that what you are doing in your life should produce.

1.Everything we do in our life must benefit others.

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another…” (1 Peter 4:10 NLT).

Again, I emphasize that it is very important that what we are doing not only benefits us but also those who surround us. When we know that what we are doing is benefitting people, then we can be sure that what we are doing will be supported by God.

2. Everything we do must be with excellence.
Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies…” (1 Peter 4:11 NLT).

One of our values is excellence. We believe that God and people are worthy of our best. When we are willing to give our best, we reveal the character of Christ and we grow in our own character.

3. Everything we do must give God glory so that people are drawn to Him.

“Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen” (1 Peter 4:11 NLT).

The things that glorify God are not the things that we can achieve in our own strength, but the things that we can only achieve in God’s grace and as a team. We must constantly remember that what we have He has given us, and that who we are He has made us, and that everything we reach will be because of His grace.

In what things have you been investing your strength and time? Make sure that you are doing something that benefits others, that is done with excellence, and that glorifies God. If what you are doing has these three things, then you are working smart.

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another… Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ…” (1 Peter 4:10-11 NLT).

Think about it:

What are you doing right now with your life?
Why are you doing what you are doing? Does it have all the qualities that were mentioned?
