The Multitude of Counselors

THE MULTITUDE OF COUNSELORS

“Where there is no counsel, the people fall: But in the multitude of counselors, there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14 KJV).

One person is too small when it comes to the big things that can be achieved as a team. Jesus did not do it alone and I cannot do it alone either. It is better to work as a team.

Jesus did not do it alone, I cannot do it alone and you shouldn’t have to do it alone.

Do not isolate yourself nor become a lone ranger. God designed us to live together and complement one another like the members of a body.

Mutual enrichment: 20 heads think better than one, 600 years of combined experience produces better results than 30 years of experience in one person. It is good to share ideas, strategies, victories and our experience with others. Listening to people will always enrich us.

The Lord tells me not to fear or faint, but to keep fighting to reach my dreams. Although, these words of encouragement are linked to two things that are essential when reaching any goal:

1.- Obedience to God. I must make sure that what I am doing is what He is asking me to do, or else I run the risk of striving for something that possibly came out of my own selfishness.

2.- I must do it in a team. I am sure that the Lord has already placed me around the necessary people to complete the assignment, but I must have the wisdom to choose the men and women of war that are willing to pay the price.

Do not do it alone. In order to reach the greatest victories, I have to recognize that I need others. I must share the opportunity of doing something great and sharing the credit of reaching it. Joshua didn’t do it alone, Jesus didn’t do it alone and I don’t have to do it alone either.

But he who follows vain persons is void of understanding” (Proverbs 12:11 KJV).

Think about it:

Think about the goals and dreams you have in your spiritual, family and financial life.
Who are the people that can be a part of your team to help you reach your dreams?
