You lose when you get offended with God

YOU LOSE WHEN YOU GET OFFENDED WITH GOD

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. Luke 17:1

What do we do when we feel pain because of an offense, criticism, wounds or rejection from other people?

The first key is to forgive what happened. Forgiveness is an immediate decision; it’s not a feeling.

Second, we need to let go of the offense and not bring it to our home, job or school, but to free the person who hurt us.

The third key is to bless. The Bible says to bless our enemies. When Job prayed for his friends who offended him, God in return blessed him with twice as much of what he had.

THOSE WHO ARE OFFENDED LOSE

God is not the author of evil; He is the author of good; but many question or blame God because of what they have suffered.

The people of Israel complained and blamed Moses and God because of their suffering in the desert. They disobeyed the Lord’s orders, they were offended and that is why their generation did not enter the Promised Land. Deuteronomy 1:35

It is easy to blame someone else for our failures and not take responsibility. We must learn to be responsible for our own mistakes.

There are some things that He allows us to go through to mature our faith; there are other things that happen to us because of generational curses or the majority of times because of disobedience.

We fail because we do not obey the Word of God and we do our own will. To some, Jesus is a stumbling block, but for us He is salvation.

You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ…and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for (1 Peter 2:5, 8).

Today you can forgive with a prayer; let go of your offenders and bless them by letting our Lord Jesus Christ help you. Do not be offended with God, run to Him for help.

Think about it:

Have you ever felt offended with God? What situations caused this?
Does it benefit you to feel resentment against people or against God?
How can taking responsibility and forgiveness help you?
