DON’T BE DISCOURAGED
We should avoid being people who cause pity and instead be people who produce encouragement and faith, despite the problems we encounter.
As leaders we cannot afford to drown in self-pity. We need to face our reality with courage and solve our problems. We are human beings; we will always have problems. Therefore, we cannot afford to make our problems greater than God.
Leaders learn to develop the fruit of patience, which means: to have the God-given ability to persevere in the middle of difficulties for long periods of time without losing our joy nor getting discouraged.
If I don’t get discouraged, then why should you get discouraged? “When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father… I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit” (Ephesians 3:14, 16 NLT).
This short period of time called life is not easy, and many times, we seem to run in the beginning, but we grow tired in the middle of the race of life. Some of us are only one lap away from our blessing, while others continue to persevere.
It doesn’t matter what lap you are on;the truth is we are all persevering patiently knowing that one day we will meet God face to face in eternity. Therefore, do not get tired of running, because you’re not the only one. We are going to finish this race well, you’ll see.
Think about it:
How are you managing to persevere during the difficulties you go through?
What can you do different to recharge your strength and go forward?
