I live for something greater

I LIVE FOR SOMETHING GREATER

“For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better” (Philippians 1:21 NLT).

The only thing that motivates a human being to get up every morning is knowing that they are living for something greater than themselves. Having a vision that is greater than our self keeps us motivated in life. Living for something meaningful makes us put our identity in God our Creator instead of materialism, properties, or whatever the world has to offer.

Perhaps, for some of us having a vision greater than ourselves is to get married, to have a family, or to be a mother or a father. However, I have learned that having a vision that is greater thanour “self” is to live for Christ and fulfill His purpose in our life and for our life.

There is something much greater in life than having children, a family, or temporary success in our business or career. God has given us a mission that is greater and that is: to win souls and make disciples forming every person into a successful leader in their spiritual, family, social and financial life.

It is satisfying to have achievements in all areas of our life, for this is part of our mission. God desires that we prosper in everything just as our soul prospers (3 John 1:2 NJKV). Nevertheless, success in business, studies, or in our career are only added unto us. The vision that truly is much greater than ourselves is to serve the Lord through what we do in order to expand His Kingdom here on earth.

Today I want to help you open your spiritual eyes to see beyond the earthly things. God has given you a divine purpose that is part of the grandiose vision He has for the world. You are a vessel that He will use to populate the heavens with souls and depopulate hell. What are you living for?

“For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better” (Philippians 1:21 NLT).

Think about it:
What motivates you to get up every day?
What is your passion?
