OBEDIENCE TO GOD
With God, we don’t negotiate. We obey.
Great men of faith also fulfill exactly and precisely what God asks them to do. Abraham circumcised his son exactly eight days old as God had commanded. He did not negotiate with God. Later he gave his son Isaac on the altar of sacrifice as God requested. He did not try to negotiate with God.
If we want to see the promises of God fulfilled in our lives, our obedience to Him is necessary. We must do what he asks of us. Remember that half obedience is still disobedience, and delayed obedience is also still disobedience.
That is why, over a hundred years ago, he received a great promise that to this day God has fulfilled:
Think about it:
What things has God asked of you that you still haven’t done?
Have you done everything that God has asked you to, just as He said it, or have you wanted to negotiate with Him? What promises are you waiting for from God?
