The temporary things vs the eternal things

THE TEMPORARY THINGS VS THE ETERNAL THINGS

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35 NIV).

There are things and places that are eternal and others that are temporary. For example, heaven and hell are eternal places, but earth and everything in it is temporary.

There are only two eternal beings in this universe, which are God and people. Everything else in the world is temporary—it will all pass. We might become attached to our pets and our possessions, but all that is not forever.

Again, there are two eternal places, heaven and hell. While we live on planet earth, we have the chance to ensure our salvation and accept Christ as our Lord and personal Savior. The time to change our address from hell to heaven is today.

Sadly, some of us haven’t understood that everything we work for on earth is vanity. Therefore, there are people who have cheated to gain profits, cars, houses, or other materialistic things that at the end are only temporary.

I am not saying that it is bad to work with dignity to obtain material blessings, I am saying that we cannot place our trust, identity, and complete focus on things that will be taken from us one day.At the end, the most valuable things in life are you, your family, people, and God.

There will be traditions and cultures that will want to distract you from what truly is important. There will be highs and lows in life that will cause us to lose sight of what is valuable, which are God, people, and your own life. There will also be arguments that will arise to test your faith, but despite all of that, you need to focus on what truly matters, the eternal things.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35 NIV).

Think about it:
What do you consider valuable in your life?
Where are you investing your strength, time, finances, and attention? Is it worth it?
