ADVICE FOR THE SPOUSES
“In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7 NLT).
Do you want God to respond to your prayers?
- Honor your wife. This means that you value and respect her, demonstrating to her that she’s important in your life.
- Treat her as you should (as a fragile vessel). That is to treat her with tenderness and consideration. Not being rough, but careful with how you treat her.
They are more delicate, which doesn’t mean that they are worth less for God, they are worth the same as men. That’s why we leave these tips so that your prayers don’t get stopped by obstacles.
Think about it:
What can you do today to honor your wife and demonstrate how much she means to you? Have you hurt your wife with your behavior for which you should ask her for forgiveness? What changes will you make so that your prayers don’t get interrupted?
