Be like a child? Yes or no?

BE LIKE A CHILD? YES OR NO?
PART ONE: MATURE AND NO LONGER BE A CHILD

“When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.” (1 Corinthians 13:11 NLT).

I am very involved in promoting the maturity of character. I think we should grow emotionally; but I also believe that we should not lose the innocence and noble feelings that a child has.

By observing the emotional maturity of someone, we can almost predict the people who will overcome the trials of life and succeed, and those who will fail succumbing to pressure and accepting all kinds of excuses to feel victimized by society and justify their failure.
We need to grow up and no longer think or act like children.
We need to learn to manage emotions and not let them control us. The one who explodes loses.

We need to learn conflict resolution skills. These will inevitably come at home, work, church and school.
We need to learn to manage our finances, or else, the world will enslave us.

We need to mature and learn to put limits on toxic relationships.
We need to mature and learn to handle crucial conversations positively.

We need to learn to have healthy relationships by resolving all conflicts quickly, biblically, with respect, dignity, and grace.
We need to mature to the point where we can live together having unity in the essential, mutual respect in differences, but love and grace in all things. Love to all people.

On the one hand, I must not be a child … but on the other hand the Bible says that I must be a child ….

SECOND PART: IT’S BETTER TO BE A CHILD … will continue …

“When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.” (1 Corinthians 13:11 NLT).

Think about it:

How are your relationships with other people? In what situations have you exploded and lost control of your emotions? Have you been successful in resolving conflicts? When you have a conflict do you solve it quickly or do you leave it to be forgotten? Do you have healthy finances? Based on this, in what areas do you need to ask God for help in making changes and forming character?
