The example of Joseph of Arimathea

THE EXAMPLE OF JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA

“Joseph bought a long sheet of linen cloth. Then he took Jesus’ body down from the cross, wrapped it in the cloth, and laid it in a tomb that had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone in front of the entrance” (Mark 15:46 NLT).

Joseph paid attention to Jesus’s body. He saw the cross and knew that was not the place where Jesus belonged.

Today we must also pay attention to the matter of the Cross. We know that Jesus is not on the cross, it’s not his place. He is not dead, he is alive and should not be on a cross of religiosity, but must be someone active in our daily life. We do not have a religion of the Cross, but a relationship with Jesus who came down from the Cross.

Joseph wrapped him in a linen cloth and placed him in a grave, a place of the dead. We receive Jesus and place him inside our heart, a living place.
Joseph sealed the grave. We, on the other hand, must open our hearts and share with others the love and peace that we now have within us.
Let him come out. Share him, Jesus is not dead on a cross or in a grave; He is alive in our heart

“Joseph bought a long sheet of linen cloth. Then he took Jesus’ body down from the cross, wrapped it in the cloth, and laid it in a tomb that had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone in front of the entrance” (Mark 15:46 NLT).

Think about it:

How long has it been since you’ve shared the love of God with others?
How can you take the opportunity to share Jesus’ hope with someone this day?
