What contaminates

WHAT CONTAMINATES

Why is it important to have healing in our emotions?
“It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart.” (Mark 7:15 NLT).

Emotions are inside us and when we let them out, they can either build up or contaminate others in our home.
What comes out of our mind through our mouth has the potential to be as harmful as poison.
Where do guilt, fear, shame and many other harmful things come from?

And then he added, “It is what comes from inside that defiles you. For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness.  All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.” (Mark  7:20-23 NLT).

Lord, help me be emotionally healthy and that what comes out of me does not contaminate others. Help me stay clean, innocent, pure, and to not lose kindness and fondness in such a hostile world.

Help me stay free of destructive emotions such as guilt, fear and shame. I ask your help because I can’t do it alone, I need your grace to overcome fears and shame

“It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart.” (Mark 7:15 NLT).

Think about it:
What kind of emotions have you been harboring lately? Are they constructive emotions or destructive? How is your heart? How is your family health in relation to the management of your emotions? Are your thoughts aligned with the Word of God?
