A place filled with smoke

A PLACE FILLED WITH SMOKE

The Temple was filled with smoke from God’s glory and power. No one could enter the Temple until the seven angels had completed pouring out the seven plagues.” (Revelation 15:8 NLT)

The Bible sometimes uses words such as “cloud” or “smoke” to describe the moment in which the Temple would be filled with the Presence and Glory of God. (1 Kings 8:10-11; 2 Chronicles 5:13-14; Isaiah 6:4).

When you are inside a cloud, you cannot see further than that smoke. Just like that, the glory of God is your everything and what the world offers you that is out of God should not interest you.

The cloud of smoke is like a looking glass that gives a certain color to what we see. According to the color of the cloud of smoke, that’s what we will see through it. If the looking glass is pink, everything we see will have a pink hue. If it is black, everything will look dark.

If we see the world from inside the cloud of his glory, then everything will have a hue of glory, of “yes you can”, “nothing is impossible”, “I can do all things through Christ”, “I live with purpose”, etc.

The cloud represents a manifestation of the glory and presence of God. I want to love positioned inside the dimension of his glory, because from there it is easier to live with true success in the world.

So, we need to be in constant prayer to create an atmosphere of his glory.

The Temple was filled with smoke from God’s glory and power. No one could enter the Temple until the seven angels had completed pouring out the seven plagues.” (Revelation 15:8 NLT)

Think about it:

What cloud have you been living inside of? The cloud of glory or the “cloud of impossibility”?

What are you going to do to live in the dimension of his glory?

How much time do you invest daily in prayer and seeking God?
