I want to cause joy, not disappointment

I WANT TO CAUSE JOY, NOT DISAPPOINTMENT

Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. (Luke 13:6 NLT)

What is your life producing?

Are you a blessing for others? Do you win souls and make disciples? Do you use your material wealth to serve God and people, or do you use people to gain wealth?

Lord, I want to bring you joy, not make you feel disappointed.

I want to be someone who bears much fruit with all the blessings you have entrusted me with in this life.

God put us on this earth, in the city we live in, to bear fruit. We are not here by accident.

Fruit speaks of the different aspects of our lives. God has entrusted us with spiritual and material resources.

We should use them for one mission: To win souls and make disciples, forming every person into a successful leader in their spiritual, family, social, and financial life.

Let’s evaluate the fruit we bore last year in our spiritual, family, social, and financial life and make ourselves available to make the necessary changes to be more fruitful in this new year. Let’s ask God, in prayer, to help us be good administrators of our time, energy, and resources to bear fruit in everything we do and be a blessing to this earth.

Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. (Luke 13:6 NLT)

Think about it:

How have you been using your time, money, strength and abilities?

In what ways do you think you can be more fruitful this year?

What will you do differently this year, that you had not done before, to make God’s heart happy?
